OAP enhanced preparedness for nuclear and radiological emergencies by organizing training and knowledge transfer sessions on emergency response planning. The event was held at the Golden Beach Resort, Krabi Province, from January 21 to 23, 2025. Mr. Panupong Pinguish, Director of the Nuclear and Radiation Inspection Division, led the team from the Nuclear and Radiological Emergency Operations Center in advancing nuclear and radiological safety in the region.
This training emphasized building knowledge and understanding among 50 participants from provincial and local disaster prevention and mitigation agencies, police officers, medical units, and other related agencies. It also included a review of provincial nuclear and radiological emergency response plans to enhance efficiency and align with the National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Plan. A key focus was on integrating joint exercises between central, regional, and local entities to ensure effective preparedness for nuclear and radiological emergencies.
