Thailand sent representatives to participate in the “Meeting of the Working Groups of the International Network of Nuclear Security Training and Support Centres (NSSC Network)” held at the headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, Austria, from January 20 to 24, 2025
At this meeting, Dr. Isariya Chairam, a radiation biologist from OAP, was appointed as the Chair of the NSSC Network for a two-year term. This platform enables network members to collaboratively drive activities outlined in the work plan under the operational framework of the working groups. The focus is on achieving tangible outcomes in enhancing the nuclear security capabilities of member states through systematic support in human resources, technical, and scientific aspects, based on sustainable development principles. Additionally, the initiative emphasizes fostering international cooperation to achieve sustainable and secure global development.
