OAP, in collaboration with the World Institute for Nuclear Security (WINS), organized the “Train the Trainer: Secure Transport of Radioactive Sources” training program from November 18 to 22, 2024, at the Rama Gardens Hotel in Bangkok. The program aims to enhance the knowledge and capabilities of representatives from various Thai organizations in the secure transport of radioactive materials.
The training, attended by 15 participants from relevant domestic agencies, is designed to equip them with essential skills and knowledge that can be further applied in their roles as trainers. This will contribute to establishing international safety standards in Thailand.
This training is part of the ongoing cooperation between OAP and WINS, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on September 18, 2024. The initiative seeks to strengthen the capacity of personnel in security and safety, enabling them to work effectively while ensuring the safety and well-being of the public and the environment.
