OAP, in collaboration with the Asia-Pacific Safeguards Network (APSN) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), organized the APSN – IAEA Seminar on Safeguards Implementation Strategy Development from November 7 to 8, 2024, at Centara Ao Nang Beach Resort & Spa in Krabi Province. The seminar focused on enhancing the capacity and understanding of the development of strategies and measures for nuclear safeguards, including compliance with international obligations and coordination with relevant agencies. A total of 48 participants from 16 member countries in the region attended, making it a key platform for developing relationships and supporting international cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region to ensure sustainable coordination on nuclear safeguards in the future.
