OAP participated in a joint training project aimed at enhancing the capabilities of special operations units in conducting operations under special conditions, particularly in situations involving threats related to weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The training took place from October 14-19, 2024, at the Air Support Command Headquarters of the Border Patrol Police in Cha-am Subdistrict, Cha-am District, Phetchaburi Province. This event was organized by the Air Support Command of the Border Patrol Police to improve the tactical skills and readiness of personnel working in special conditions, especially regarding WMDs and IEDs. The training also aimed to establish a network of cooperation between domestic and international security agencies.
This training is considered a reinforcement of Thailand’s national security, particularly in addressing modern threats related to nuclear and radiological weapons, which are both complex and dangerous. The integrated joint training will enhance the efficiency of emergency response, ensuring that the public can have confidence in the robust safety measures that the government has thoroughly prepared.
