Assoc. Prof. Pasit Lorterapong and OAP are ready to follow suit the Minister’s policy on using science and innovation to drive Thai economy and to provide solutions to key national problems. In this connection, an organization-wide workshop is arranged, aiming to formulate a proactive action plan which drives OAP toward being “Professional and Visionary Regulator”.
On May 29, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Pasit presided over the opening on the workshop on reviewing a five-year action plan. Assoc. Prof. Pasit echoed the Prime Minister’s policy on using nuclear energy for national economy development and the Minister’s policy on clean energy and pointed out the opportunity given to OAP to showcase its capacity as a national nuclear and radiation regulator. He expected the tangible outcomes from the workshop that would be put into practice and in line with ministerial and national directions.
Assoc. Prof Pasit reiterated that communication among all departments within OAP was an important element for formulating an appropriate action plan addressing resource management, budget allocation, KPI formulation and an organizational road map. More importantly, the action plan should be practical and effective so that nuclear and radiation science become relevant in driving the country and achieving sustainable development.
