On March 13, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pasit Lorterapong, OAP Secretary General, observes an online inspection performed on one of the hospitals in the northeastern part of Thailand. Online inspection is one of the newest capabilities at OAP which takes advantage of technology and allows OAP inspectors to perform inspections as if they were physically present at the facility in question. OAP inspectors examines licenses for usage, radiation safety officer (RSO) license, personal dose report, calibration certificate of a survey meter, radiation protection plan, dose records and radiation security plan. To perform on the other end of this practice, RSO at the facility performs radiation measurements and verifies these results with the ones reported on paper. In addition, RSO examines for conditions and changes made at the facility that may affect safety and security at the facility. After reviewing all inspections and reports, OAP inspectors write a report and provide recommendations if any to RSO and the facility.
