(5 march 2024) Today, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pasit Lorterapong, OAP Secretary General, speaks to more than 150 OAP staff about his leadership and policy as the top management at the Office. He stresses the importance of innovation and technology as a vehicle for OAP to move toward its vision, SMART OAP. He encourages a proactive approach for all regulatory functions and establishes protective action instead of resorting to corrective ones. Everyone in the Office must synergize his/her work and effort, becoming like a small gear in a big OAP engine.
Morality, ethics, disciplines and culture must also be fostered at the same time. This is to promote integrity and transparency and to consider public benefits as a priority. He urges everyone to be happy at work and to view a larger picture of the Office together so that all of us is on the same page. Lastly, virtue of goodness should lead the way and be followed by intelligence. These two characteristics should be able to guide OAP to be “SMART” in all aspects.
